Poor build quality, terrible design.
Hmm, despite being called a light ball it's incredibly heavy to lift and strains the wrist when trying to push it around as the weight is all in the wrong place. The build quality seems cheap and has a lot of quite fragile looking plastic bits which creak and when combined with its weight I think it will break very easily. The hose is useless as the recoil is so strong when you extend it the vacuum just falls over. And what is that 3 foot metal pole inside the hose for? Come on Dyson, this is meant to be British engineering - what's gone wrong? On the plus side it is quiet and the cleaning is adequate although nowhere near as good as a much cheaper vax.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Good all rounder
The Dyson light ball animal, quite a bit smaller and lighter than my old DC07, is very quiet and easy to handle, nice and powerful and very manoeuvrable. Bin empties at a touch. It’s a bit awkward to move when not in use, you can’t roll it on the back casters as the handle falls into the drop position so have to lift the whole machine. Not that bad a deal and I will soon get used to it. The suction is not as powerful as my old Dyson but it more than copes and as many have commented there is only room on board for one of the tools. Efficient, manoeuvrable, powerful
Good product, noticeably more powerful than my recently deceased (and aged), DC07! There's a suction control switch located near the cleaner head, which can be adjusted if you want to use it on solid floors, I guess. In any event, one has to use it on the least powerful setting on carpet, I've found, because otherwise the suction is just too strong, and one can barely move the machine! Disappointingly, the hose is shorter than on the DC07, which means that it won't reach the top stair - so I have to carry the thing to the top of the stairs and plug it in up there, in order to do just one stair.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

It's a great machine and our daily is really pleased. However the dust reservoir is too small but fortunately it is easy to empty. Omg why didn't I purchase one of these sooner. My old Hoover broke NOT A DYSON and I heard so many good reviews about a Dyson I thought i would buy one. It does not disappoint. Really light and moveable. And the amount of dirt it picked up was unreal I couldn't believe it. I thought my carpets were hoovered properly with 40 mins of keep going over the carpet.
