BSA had its roots in gun manufacture in Birmingham and then expanded to included bicycles and then motorcycles. The BSA front wheel drive cars, which included the Threewheeler, the FW32 and T9 models and the Scout, were ground-breaking designs as BSA virtually pioneered the concept of front wheel drive which has been used by most car manufacturers ever since.
