Sheer brilliance
Wow this author is one of the best crime thriller writers ever! This is the second book I have read of Claires and it was even better than the first one. Frankie has fled the seaside town of oldcliffe, where her best friend Sophie vanished one night and was never found. Her body was never found until now in 2016 and Sophies brother, Daniel rings her to say that part of her body has been discovered and he wants Frankie to return to her home town and help him discover who killed her. Frankie agrees to spend a week in Oldcliffe-on-sea and Daniel rents out an apartment for her, which turns out to be really spooky. She regularly see's the ghost of Sophie and lots of weird things happen to her making her feel as though she is losing her mind. The chapters go from Frankie in 2016 to Sophie in 1997, leading up to her death. I just can't stress enough how good this book is. The twists and turns are amazing and the ending is jaw droppingly brilliant.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
