This camera is ideal for all photos. Especially if the subject has differences of contrast. Dark and light areas can be easily recovered in the 14Bit RAW photoframe. For low-light shots the tripod's ISO performace is similar to Nikon D810 and, not worse than the Nikon D750 and at usual values up to 12800 ISO. I do not recommend for video recording, being the worst of all models available from Nikon Full Frame today.

I bought this to replace my ageing Nikon D80. My new D610 was instantly familiar thanks to a similar control lay out. Image quality is amazing. My old camera was 10 megapixels so the D610`s 24 megapixels is a vast improvement. It`s a little larger than the D80 but it`s not an issue for me. I will use the camera mainly for landscape shots. If I had to list a bad point it would be that the focus points are all located around the centre of the viewfinder - that`s what happens when you switch to a full frame sensor. Buy it - you really wont regret it. If you look around you can buy it new for less than the second hand price some stores are charging.

I am really sattsfied so far. I used to shoot with Canon 100D and this is just completely different level. I have it week and love it already.
