Very good quality for the price point
This is a pretty good sander. Feels solid and well balanced in the hand. Really like the simple idea of the hole puncher to allow the vacuum function to work without buying expensive pre cut sander sheets. Thick power cord. Great sander!
Was looking for a sander that would get rid of a couple of coats of old paint on an old antique like shelving unit, that would be less work than a palm sander. This did it! While it's a rectangle shape so doesnt have that pointed tip that palm sanders usually have, helping you get into more awkward spots, it really is effective in terms of time and energy getting rid of old coats of paint especially if you use a coarse grade sand paper, such as grade 40. Smooth work
Bought this as several garden items - Picnic Table & Benches, 3 Seater Bench and Small Side Table - needed to be spruced up after being out for a couple of years. Started lightly sanding 1st 3 slats of picnic table and was very pleased with result. Not a lot of pressure on sander and very little vibration and 2 years wear and tear disappeared with a nice smooth finish. stthem to see what it looked like and wife was impressed with result. Weather not good enough to complete task but should get it done shortly. Very impressed and surprised how quiet the sander is in operation.

A good choice
Decent budget finishing Sander, comfortable and easy on your hand. Smooth control when used properly, not forcing the sander! Easy to load material with clip-back springs. I will have to probably tighten the springs over use as this can be a common problem with clip-back locking feature. I have sanded around five wooden doors from paint continuously and this Makita seems quite good so far. The dust bag is small and needs emptying often depending how coarse your material is. Impressive unit for price
I have only initially tried the product but works well and I particularly like the punch plate which allows use of rolls of sht paper.The unit handles well and is quite and comfortable to handle.
