Good but not so practical for pinned bladed
All great apart from using pined bledes the gap to fit blades wont open enough to fit my pined blades i know they cach on the grove but they alsow need to fot the thin part of blade in thre gap so will have to mabey mod them of buy a difrent kind apart from that they are great n easy to fit i got top and bottom to use pinless blades more easyVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good for what it is. But could be improved
The first pair I received. One was broken in the packet, but the service to replace it was excellent. I do find though that they should be made of better material, then it might not have been broken in the first place. Not up to the job
The blade clamps were easy to fit. However, on only the second cut, while using a pinned scroll saw blade, the top clamp snapped. To Axminster's great credit, having sent the clamps back to them, they gave an immediate refund. I would not recommend this product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Change materials.
Due to the product being a casting, it is subject to cracking when tightening the allen scews, this could easily be overcome by using an mallable iron or steel instead of the casting, although it might be more expensive it would be more durable. The modifications I made were successful. Perhaps they could be incorporated in manufacturing
I purchased two of these clamps. Broke one trying to open the blade slot which would not open because part of the machine screw clearance hole was threaded. Thus preventing movement. I drilled out the thread to provide clearance welded it back together and welded wing nuts onto the machine screws because no Allen Key is provided.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

unusual problem
unlike axminster the quality was very poor and bothe parts broke at the first tightening. i am quite shore that axminster will very quickly correct this fault and bring this product back to there usual high standards.the broken parts were replaced by return post.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
