This is amazing camera. WHY? It's a Nikon - Ultra High quality Nikkor Lens; exceptional clarity in almost all light conditions Smaller than a DSLR - One Lens does it all (You never need to change lenses, or carry them around everywhere) ZOOM - 60x Optical, + Digital equivalent to a 1440MM telescopic Lens! Wide angle and close up modes, I shot a coin collection with great detail Lots of shooting modes - from night scenes to Beach; I almost always used it on Auto Built in adjustable diopter (for eyepiece, no need to put on eyeglasses) Eyepiece allows you to focus in Bright lights and glare, like at the beach More than a snapshot camera, without hassle of DSLR. Wifi lets you commit photos to your smartphone, and upload to the cloud - available immediately! Camera already setup, you just have to tweak it for your needs (just start shooting) This camera is best for Someone who travels, and wants all the features in a compact package Student who wants better than a "snapshot" camera for hundreds less than a basic DSLR Anyone who wants to have a camera with features comparable to expensive DSLR's in an easy-to-handle format. Returned camera
I would have loved this camera for it had the wireless connectivity worked well. Truth be told, I can't understand how Nikon sells cameras with the horrendous Snapbridge Bluetooth connection. I have read of others having similar issues as I had! Sometimes it works, and sometimes not. This is unacceptable to me.

Complex but simple
I have been using Nikon cameras since the 1960's and I needed a smaller camera for a Safari. This was recommended because of the digital zoom and the features of the camera. It will hold up to a 256gb memory card, which will hold thousands of photos. You need the size if you are going to record video, since it records in 4K. I chose to buy multiple 64gb cards, so that if one failed, I was not left without memory to save my memories. I'm excited to learn about the camera, but the learning curve was shortened by Nikon staying true to their format for the Auto, Manual, and Shutter or Aperture priority knob. For the price, this is a great value.

Point and shoot
Be careful indoors as in low light the camera does not do well. The flash helps but not for distance shots like a graduation. Graduation pics were marginal. Auto Focus is not as fast as the Nikon D3300 but for outdoor wildlife shots this camera excels. One disappointment is that you can not change the filenames from DSCN to anything else to keep camera filenames unique for each camera. All in all it is a good camera. If you could only have one camera, this is a good choice. You can't focus on close objects like an apple on a tree or take macro shots, but for zooming in on the long shot, this camera does very well. For the money, it's a winner.

Great Camera
I upgraded to this camera after my Nikon P610 was stolen. Had the P900 also but it was to lens heavy. This is the perfect camera for me. I travel alot and need something lite weight , easy to use , portability , and something with an awesome zoom. That camera does all that. You can zoom in on the moon and its crators like it is next door. Wild life pics and landscape photos are a breeze. And my favoite is beach and surf pics. Have not used video so cannot comment on that. But the photo side is awesome. And very easy to transfer photos to your phone and or share to fb and instagram with the Nikon app. Buy it , its a good camera and a good value.

cool pic 700 camera
Work great. It you want a quality camera that has high zoom capability (no need to carry extra lenses) and can video up to 4k resolution in a mid size form factor you should look at this camera. Video would be nice to have image stabilization. I would expect a professional to use the larger body nikons. It's been great for family vacation video and family pics.

Great camera in a "small" package
Bought this camera because of its 60X optical zoom, relatively small size, and lens quality. Took a little while to identify and use its many features, but reading the users' manual helps! Hope to use it to get better shots of birds at greater distances with excellent detail. See shot below. Has an excellent digital viewfinder which switches on automatically when you bring the camera up to your eye. I still need more time and practice using it, but it is doing everything I bought it to do.

I'm not a "tech" guy, I've been called a caveman in regards to gadgets and electronics but I literally picked this camera up and started taking pics that are amazing. Good value for beginner photographer
I like the camera very much and it's design is user friendly. The pictures are also beautiful in color. The only feature I don't like is the monitor "door protector". I find it very inconvenient that I have to open the door first in order to take a photo. The practical value of the door is that it protects the monitor screen from scratches and damage. A good value for the money.
