Add RAM to upgrade a PC
In repairing a PC I noticed it only had 2 of its 4 mother board RAM slots filled, and so only had 2gb, when it could take a maximum of 4gb.
I searched for exactly the same RAM as was already fitted. Ebay returned several options.
Importech1 had RAM that matched the key parameters, and could supply the soonest.
When it arrived it only had half the number of chips on it, but as their capacity was twice as big it was OK. The RAM was detected and put to use by the computer straight away, and Windows 7 now loads significantly more quickly. So the RAM is right for this PC.
The PC is still slow, but I am told it is due to hard disc access speed, so it would need a solid state drive to make it more responsive.
