I am truly a coffee snob ...I normally spend $6 a day on a cup of amazing fair trade coffee at a locally owned coffee shop , Heine Brothers , no big box coffee shops for me ..I have owned many different brands of home,brewing systems , none of which could make even a decent cup of coffee , despite using the best freshly ground beans ...Only a frech press could satisfy my taste for good coffee ... Don't waste your money on this piece of junk!
The coffee maker brews quickly but the coffee isn't hot it's warm. There's no hot plate to keep coffee hot and for all this money I would expect a better product. Little mighty mite
Although 5 cups seems small Bonavita little power house cranks out the watts to deliver a consistently great cup of coffee. Makes a delicious cup of coffee comparable to a pour over
My only negative review of Bonavita 5 cup brewer is that the coffee doesn’t stay hot for very long despite it being a thermal carafe. (Even after preheating carafe with hot water). Good quality coffee, slightly messy handling
Thew steel carafe needs some time to get used to. Also, once you take the carafe/filter combo out, there is a some dripping on the coffeemaker surface from the water shower unit. The water retained by the filter unit is substantial, yielding fewer cups than expected. Ok for a single person, small and not the best coffee maker as stated in some of the reviews
The coffee made in the machine was very good, it says 5 cups, that's about 2 regular cups then you have to make another pot. It shuts off as soon as the coffee is made so even with the thermal pot it does not stay hot very long. You have to put on the top, which is screw on to pour it and make sure the top is tight or the coffee will end up where you pour it. For a single person it is ok, the reason I bought it was the reviews saying it was the perfect temp of the water to make this great cup of coffee.
