BEATS MASHING
I used it once for sweet potatoes. I made pies. It's small so it took awhile to mash them all. I cut the potatoes in small cubes so it went well. I kept rinsing the disc off after every 3 strains because of the strings. Overall, I was quite pleased with my ricer. I didn't know what one was until I found a mashed potato article that said it is better to use a ricer than a mixer.
