I loved this feeder - and for a week it was fine - had it where I could see all the different birds on it - then one morning - the squirrels had chewed through the plastic on the seed tube - one of the bottom grey plastic feeder surrounds is completely missing, (maybe a metal surround should be used?) - so that tube is now useless - the seed just runs out the bottom. - for those without squirrels it is probably the best I've come across.. Without my thuggish-tendency squirrels, I'd have given it 5 stars.

I've just bought another one of these feeders .my last one lasted 3 years but a word of warning if a squirrel gets on it he will destroy the plastic seed feeder in minutes.i managed to keep them Of by hanging it high up in a tree with a washing line .i kept the feeder about 8 ft from the branch it hung off and 6 ft off the floor.it worked for 3 years but a squirrel managed to get down the line some how and totally destroyed it in minutes..

A well made piece of kit. Nuts, seed and fat balls next to each other, a Michelin feeding place for the birds. My only gripe and it is very small, it can be a bit of a "faff' to reassemble after filling.

This is the third 3 in 1 feeder that I have bought. I notice that this current one (as did its predecessor) has a palstic bird seed tube which only fits into the round protrusions on the underside of the top cover with difficulty. This in time causes the top edges of the plastic bird seed tube to become damaged and split. The two metal feeding tubes fit OK. It is just the plastic bird seed feeder tube that is fractionally two large to fit easily into the aperture.

Good for all birds, including nuthatch, robins, all the blue tits and woodpeckers. This has to be at least the 12th we have had. A knowing squirrel can eat through the metal and plastic in about three weeks. the two we have had the longest have domes underneath. Despite the squirrels I recommend these bird feeders highly, we still have at least eight as .my Husband prefers to fill them weekly. The cost is good value
