These reels seem of good quality they hold a full 100 yards of leaded line. They are left handed so you can hold your rod in your right dominant hand and reel with your left hand without changing the rod back and forth between hands. I am sure the line counter will work fine but I will not be using it with my metered leaded fun ction

Good little all around reel.. But do not tighten down the drag to get a hung lure loose from the bottom of the ocean.. the pinion gear will strip out.. I had to replace that gear in mine.. I have caught some big fish with it.. (a 51# halibut)

For around $50, these are some of the best values for trolling reels out there. If you want a little more adjustability in the drag, there are carbon fiber drag washer kits out there for around $10 delivered. These have winched in 10# Chinooks and 15# Lakers with ease. They also handle fast trolling speed with dipsy divers without paying out drag. Would highly recommend.

Okuma's 15DX is a reel that fits perfectly into the needs of fisherman who want to troll with smaller baits for crappie, walleye etc. Line counter is very accurate. Overall, great reel at a great price!!!!!!

You can't beat the Okuma reels for the price. I had a smaller 20-series LH line counter reel that I've used hard for two seasons and needed two of their bigger models. I've been happy with my choices.
