  • Low technical install, just replace wire for wire and go.

A good product replacement to correct furnace problems existing due to a component board failure.

  • Alot of electronics makes for alot of ways thongs can go wrong

We are on our 3rd such "motherboard" and every time one goes bad we say "what a mother!!!" The first one lasted 4 years while the 2nd one lasted 13. Do yourself a favor and have your local electronics repairman just bench test the unit for the bad part and have him solder in a replacement module. It is usually one of the large black modules that goes bad. Cost for bench test and repair=about $50. New part= about $90 now. At least you will have a backup if you get your bad board repaired and they ALWAYS go bad at a bad time! I paid $300 for the oil service to replace the first "bad mother". This time I paid $0 and replaced it myself. Turn off power at least 2 hours beforehand to allow any capacitor energy to dissipate first. Being patient and systematic, all you need is needle-noise pliers, phillips & flat head screwdriver for removing the panel and loosening/re-tightening the wires and it works just as well as when I paid the guy $300! Good Luck!
