Freezer 13 == Cold!
I was running the normal Cpu cooler on my intel core i7 4790, on full load I was seeing temps hitting 70-90 degrees! As I've overclocked to 4.0ghz! Installed today now seeing temps of maximum 50 degrees on full load and no case fans running! Load - Before - after (in degrees C) 0% - 40 - 30 50% - 55 - 40 100% - 80 - 50 Found that it was a easy install, really simple took 5 - 10 minutes! arctic cooling freezer 13 cpu cooler
i recently bought a pc with an 8 core, 4.2 GHz cpu. if all 8 cores were 100% busy the cpu temp would reach about 75C which is not desirable, and the fan on the supplied cpu cooler would rev up to 5000rpm making the pc sound like it was about to take off and drowning out the tv. i replace the supplied cpu cooler with this beauty. what a difference. first, it was so easy to fit. i have never done this before and i was a bit apprehensive about doing so, but it couldn't have been easier. second, it looks really cool when seen through the window on the side of my pc case. third, the performance is amazing. in the same situation as above, with all 8 cores 100% busy the cpu temp has never gone higher than 39C and the cooling fan on the heatsink goes no faster than 2000rpm meaning no intrusive noise, just a gentle whoosh, and during normal day to day operation, i.e. not 100% busy, the fan chugs around at about 1000rpm and is barely audible. highly recommend this product. excellent price. excellent performance.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A great budget CPU cooler/heatsink

OK, a little overspecified for an I3-4130 but the standard Intel cooler was very marginal for the 55W processor. Intel cooler ran at 68 degrees C and needed to be kept dust-free. Arctic now running at 45 degrees under full load.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good item but...
Works well at lower CPU intensity of use. When the chip gets really hot, it works to a certain degree but the area of contact with the chip does not allow for sufficient heat transfer. In other words, the CPU chip is not big enough to transfer the heat to the cooler.
