    Love this version!

Has a wan port as well as a adsl/vdsl port for FTTC broadband! Can leave my Openreach modem under the socket and run a ethernet lead to the middle of my home to this connected to the wan port for speeds the same as at the master socket, with even wifi throughout the home! Very good BT!

Good router - Rubbish access point

It all depends on your intended use... If you have BT broadband and want to use this as the main router then it's fine. It has good ac wifi and for this reason I intended using it as a cheap way of gaining an additional access point, unfortunately BT's firmware does not allow you to successfully achieve this. Wifi connection is fine however there is a 5 minute delay before internet access is granted, I assume the firmware is attempting to make internet contact via the unused dsl/wan port and only reverts to the existing lan connection after this delay. Which is a shame as it makes it pretty useless as an access point. I've since bought a Belkin AC1900 configured as an access point and works well.

  • Good Value Performance Hub

I had one of these supplied with my BT contract a few years ago. The Wifi performance in particular is much better than their older hubs. So when I moved to Plusnet and they supplied what looked like an older BT hub (4?), I continued to use the Hub 6, just needing to change the connection information by following Plus Net forum comments, which are easy to find. There are 2 versions of this Hub 6, this one and one with with slightly more functionality aimed at small businesses called the Hub 6 Business I think, but I;ve not used it. You can spend more on hubs with more functionality but I think BT build these for simplicity out of the box and less support calls, which suits me. This Hub 6 does everything I need for my household (in a semi) which has various equipment on Ethernet, PCs on Wifi 5G & 2G. 2G Wifi was noticably problematic on the older Plus Net supplied Hub where as it works pretty well on the Hub 6.

  • Good plusnet router replacement

I was having problems with my old plusnet kit and they wanted 100 quid to supply a new one as I was ‘out of contract’ - so much for loyalty! Saw this on eBay, it’s a better spec and was up and running in less than 10 minutes. Job done, happy bunny.

  • Fast and powerful

I bought this to replace a Home Hub 5 with BT infinity. It fitted straight in and set up was easy and automatic.

  • Good piece of Kit

Replacement for Hub 5 which had problems with SIP ALG settings for working from home.. HUB6 was simple to just plug and play.. no SIP ALG problem.. good connectivity .. infact better Wi-Fi coverage in home as well

  • Avoid buying it at the RRP

Replaced BT Hub 3 and, as predicted, gives much better coverage throughout the house. Purchased for £45.49 as an unopened order from a buyer who found they did not need it.

  • Perfect replacement.

I had a Plusnet Router which caused a lot of problems, very poor wireless signal and continually dropping out. The Homehub 6 has resolved all the issues I had and provides us with a decent wireless signal even though our house has very thick walls.

  • Great wifi router for the price.

I wanted to set up a 2nd router kinked to my Virgin Superhub3 as an extra wifi access point in the kitchen. Once set up it has a stronger wifi range than the SuperHub3. Great product.

  • No more power

BT promise their strongest signal ever. Can't see any difference in the signal strength from our old Home Hub 2, so what's the point?
