After buying a Gibson Les Paul in 2016 I noticed that the Brass zero fret was wearing badly after little use. Gibson said they did not supply them any more and recommended a 3rd party supplier! I bought this and adjusted the width with a nail file (just a few strokes) for a snug fit. I then adjusted the height of the nut a few turns to stop any rattles and hey presto - easy to fit. Anotheradvantage of this nut is that it has profiles string grooves (see picture) which reduces the tension from the strings. I thoroughly recommend this product.

Perfect replacement for Gibson soft brass 2015 nut. String path well cut and a good professional replacement.. I understand Gibson made a Titanium replacement unit but I could not find one on the web. Being Titanium, it would resist the sstring wrap grooving and rapid wear that makes tuning difficult. Ip come Graph Tech with a Tusq unit atat won't cost jewellers' prices to replace a part that was inherently not fit for purpose long term.

Used this to replace a 2015 Gibson brass zero fret nut which had started to show wear grooves. The Tusq nut is better for tuning, easily adjustable and a drop in fit. Sounds great too. A worthwhile upgrade for the Gibson adjustable brass nut.

First I had stupid problems with the new push button electronic tuners - so I took them off and replaced them with Grovers thinking that the guitar would be OK then. WRONG !! Tuning was better BUT still something wrong. First the action went silly - buzzing all over the place then just couldn`t get it right without having silly action. This Tusq nut fixed it all immediately !! Very pleased !! [ I had to gently file both ends to fit it but the advert warned me about that anyway ]. If you decide to remove a Gibby automatic tuner in order to fit normal tuning machines buy one of these at the same time and save yourself a lot of messing about.

Perfect fit. A simple way to restore this Les Paul to a standard style nut instead of the brass one.
