    You'll need to 'run it in' but it looks great

    I bought this because I have another Ernie Ball strap that I have had for over 30 years and it's very comfortable. I'd bought another bass and wanted to treat the bass (and myself) to a new strap. The strap is a lot longer than my old one (which I should have realised) and so I've had to adjust it to the shortest it can be and so it is double thickness along its whole length. It would not be a problem with a heavier bass but my new bass is short-scale and very light. Therefore, my advice is buy this only if you love Western designs and you think you will wear it a lot on a heavy instrument. Then you will be able to 'run it in' and get the best from it. It's not cheap so you want to get the best from it.
