This pen is not a new design but the fact that it is still being manufactured decades after it first came on the market is testimony to its quality and reliability. My recent purchase was the third I have made, my first was purchased in the 90s. None of my previous Pentel P207 broke, at lest not in my possession. Rather they were lost or purloined by others equally impressed by the best of mechanical pencils. I can recommend the Pentel P200 series, though I suggest the P207 is the best. The extra thickness means far fewer broken leads and writing that is easier to read.

I anticipated it would be good as I have had this make of pencil for some time. I like the colour and acts as a welcome change to my other black pencils.

I have been using these for 20+ years and they always work well. You can break them by dropping them point first and cracking the end off. Even so they often continue working but are then rather stubby. Excellent for technical drawing.

Have used Pentecost pencils for years. Always good and ever ready for drawing or marking wood before carpentry. On the premise that nothing is perfect - my 4 star rating
