Best Guitar Lacquer
High Butyl Acetate content gives better flow-out and smells better than acetone-based lacquers. Plus, this is a 13oz can, vs the 11oz size of most store-bought brands. Also, it sprays right to the bottom of the can without sputter. Even though it's more expensive by the ounce, Behlen's superior lacquer is worth every penny. Spray it "hot" for best results, let the can sit in HOT tap water for 5 - 10 minutes, shake for 2 minutes, and you'll be amazed at the results. Deep "Sheet of glass" luster! Super easy to apply!
As a one man operation I have to be kind of a Jack of all trades when it comes to all the different facets of guitar building. Prior to my first guitar build I'd tried to do finishes and just always seemed to get it wrong. With Behlen Stringed Instrument Lacquer I simply followed the instructions and ended up with an amazingly professional looking deep luster finish! My guitars look like there's a sheet of glass over them! I absolutely love this stuff, and have NO intention of switching brands!

Excellent quality from Behlen's.
My husband is a retired professional luthier having built and restored hundreds of fine acoustic instruments near Nashville. This is the only brand of spray can type lacquer (when not using nitrocellulose in paint guns) that he will use and gets excellent results.
