  • Buy one and you'll be pleased, IMHO.

VICTOR VC3165 FREQUENCY COUNTER Even as a used item it performs well. It takes a few seconds to understand how the Function switch works to direct the counter to indicate the signal on the lower frequency range or on the higher frequency range. I checked it's accuracy against my signal generator and it either equaled exactly the frequency, or it indicated 1/10,000 of a megahertz low= 1 kHz. I may or may not attempt to correct that error. It doesn't matter to me for 99% of my usage. Buy one and you'll be pleased.

  • Good deal for price

Red led's slightly brighter than green digits. Appears stable. Only real problem is adapter plug to use with 110vac as prongs are little bit too narrow. Would be better with cord that is designed for usa. However this is easy to replace, same cord as with computers. Only problem is needs to warm up for a few minutes, and this is mentioned in description. Only thing does not have that I would like is ability to add external reference. It is a very good deal for the price and does have adjustable front foot.

  • Good for amateur radio purposes

It's nice, shows only few hertz off, which is not really significant. Like at 14mhz signal shows 13,999,998 which i don't think is significant for amateur purposes. Case could've been smaller, but it's also not important. It has a transformer from both 240v and 120V to DC, with a simple switch in the back. Which i love having because i don't need to use bench power supply to power it. I still haven't figured all the menus, but all in all this seems like an accurate enough gadget for amateur RF purposes. I think it's worth it's price.

  • frequency testor

I'm using this primarily to control output frequency from a crystal oscillator in a ham operator radio telescope. It has proved to be a professional piece of equipment and performs well. I WOULDN'T GO WITHOUT IT.

Seems to work as it should. Only used it a couple of times and things were sounding good when done.

  • frequency counter

Takes a little getting use to. Would be nice to have standby switch. My old one does to keep the oven hot. Sensitive. Good product for the money.

  • RF Frequency counter

I rated this 3 stars because the O - 50 Mhz range on my unit did not function but it was fine for 50 mhz to 2.4 ghz, which was what i purchased it for. The accuracy seems to be within specifications. The case is plastic but adequately durable and probably would survive a fall from the service bench to a concrete floor without damage. Considering the very reasonable price I consider this a good value and would buy another if I needed it
