Made Yard Brush head repair a doddle to put back on its handle.

It helped save a light weight brush head, when it proved to have been pooly anchogaged to its handle, Thyeorder was well handled and the bracket strong and easy to fit..

  • Most critical review

Good bracket let down by poor quality tightening bolt and nut

Very strong bracket made of decent thickness plate, but let down by the poor quality bolt. I used a 28mm handle, required a lot of tightening of the bolt - so much that the angle of the lower plate caused the nut to strip the thread. Fixed by adding a spacer to make the handle thicker and replacing with better quality nut and bolt; an inconvenience.

  • Needs a few adaptations

Ok, so you have a favourite yard brush, you have used both precautions holes, the figment has gone, you want to save the brush...this will do it, but not straight away. The butterfly has clamp os too big and very stiff for a decently thick handle, as mine is. You need to really move that clamp down. It is very stiff, but can be done with a clamping type wrench. So not hard, but necessary. Moving to putting the fixer onto the brush, well it isn’t so hard, but the pre-drilled hole is too low, it simply misses the handle. I drilled a hole higher up. That means a drill and metal drill bit. Not difficult, but again, necessary. Once all that is done...it is great..I saved my favourite brush! Not only that, I can reuse it when the brush finally dies. It is value for money because it is ....cheap and it is very, very useable. Just not straight away.

  • Expensive broom- cheap socket

Having purchased a so called top brand garden broom, a bit shocked and disappointed when the socket broke on the second use !!! Manufacturer decided to cut cost by using a brittle plastic, ordered this and jobs a good un, easy to screw onto broom head and should last a bit longer than the original.

  • So much better than plastic!

Having got through our second plastic broom bracket, it’s great to get something super strong and long-lasting like this! Only caveat is that it is not that easy to tighten the collar around the broom handle. Either get a thick broom handle or be prepared to give it some welly .

  • Beats the plastic ones easily.

I've used several plastic ones of ebay. They break eventually. I'm doing a large job where I am scrubbing all my garden slabs with bleach. So I put scrubbing brushes on to a broom handle. This one will last as long as me, I think.

  • Not the best design

My brush shaft is 29mm, tightened the nut as much as possible but the shaft was still really loose in the fitting. Tried my own nut and bolt, again too loose. Ended up drilling a hole threw the side of the fitting and shaft and putting my own nut and bolt in.

  • Great sturdy product

Very good item. So much better than cheap plastic broom connectors that snap and break really easily, if you catch a brick or something. The only thing I would have liked to have been better quality was the tightening wing nut and thread. But easily rectified if you have jars of nuts and bolts 🔩 like me.

  • robust metal broom bracket

This metal broom bracket is very robust and well constructed and i am sure will not break like the plastic bracket that came with my broom head. it is also galvanised metal so should not corrode. I think it is good value as well as i am sure it will outlast the broom head and could be reused. It arrived in the timescale detailed on ordering.

Good item to fix my external broom. Had to put a sleeve on the handle, if the handle was thicker it would have worked perfectly.
