JUST AS VERSATILE AS AN AIR POWERED D.A. and it is a real DUAL ACTION SANDER
I'm old school and was dubious about this DA. at under £100 I wasn't expecting much,I wasn't sure weather it was a rotary sander or a real DA. it's a real Da. but its great. it's actually easier to use than an air Da, and as you only have a small electrical cable, an airline isn't flopping about everywhere and jammimg under car wheels etc. YES you will have to extend the electrical flex to make it really usefull for working around cars, but so what, five minutes job, it's double earthed and literally takes only 20 minutes to extend.The velcro pad included is great too, as who really uses self adhesive pads these days? great for all bodyshop preparation so far, and other reviews all say they last okay too. Great piece of kit
I bought this sander/polisher to polish my (new to me) car, as the paint had several deep scratches which weren't responding to hand polishing very well, (quickly) First thing to say is I didn't understand how it should work and on unpacking I thought it was faulty - the pad free wheels and is not driven, it only rotates when in contact with the surface being polished - big shock! I extended the lead as recommended in other reviews which by now I had read ( many people return the machine not understanding how it should work!!!) I use the Sealey optional polishing backing pad (not included) and the 3M perfect it system. The short review is that this machine is fantastic and I can't see what paying £200 would get you more the results on my car are unbelievable, the paint is like a mirror, the machine performing excellently and predictably throughout the job, I may even do the wife's car now!!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
