Perfect replacement for linear filament tubular lamps
Speedy delivery just the job. These were a perfect replacement for the existing tubular filament lamps fitted to my display cabinet. Good BUT !!!!!!!!!!
These lamps work correctly BUT they have a very slightly different end terminal to the standard tungsten type lamp. The result was I had to make a slight alteration to the light fittings to allow the LED lamp to fit and make the correct connection to allow the lamp to work . I'm an electrical engineer NOT a"DIYer" so do know what I'm commenting on . This may not be an issue with all light fittings but it is with the cheaper cupboard/display type fittings .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Would I do it again? Yes.
Have used them to complete a recessed lighting project in my kitchen. I am particularly pleased with the soft warm colour they give which enhances the room at night. They only use 14 watts of electricity but give the equivalent light when using tungsten bulbs, of approximately150 watts . Work OK bug beware RFI
These work fine in under cupboard light fittings but interfere with DAB radio reception despite the radio being in the window a few feet from the closest fitting. They are also one sided and rotate in the light fitting over the period of a few weeks so the light is firing into the bottom of the cupboard. Not too much of a problem as they are easy to rotate back and aim the light downward where it is supposed to be.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Beware the blind spot
Good product, seems well built. However, beware the 'blind spot'. The light emitting from the tube is not universal. There is a white plastic stripe along the 'rear' of the tube, meaning that there is a darker side. Standard (non LED) bulbs do have a universal light output regardless of how they are oriented, so if you need 360 degree light output, these LED bulbs will not suit that application.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Much brighter than old equivalent
I bought this for a display cabinet because I realised that being on all the time it cost me approx £50 a year with a standard tube and this one would work out at approx £5. I am very impressed with the fact that it is much brighter and really shows off what is in the display cabinet.
