Good quality and compact, a bit bouncey when used by an energetic large dog but still fit for purpose. Ideal for medium sized dogs.

  • Most critical review

    Not an ideal solution

While it is of sufficient size to do the job, the plastic surface makes it rather slippery for dogs to climb when dry let alone wet. Also due to the slightly flexible nature of the item the bounce/flex has put off our dogs using it. Build quality wise it is built to last, as long as it is not abused of course - IE putting excess weight onto it. I would surmise it could hold up to 40kg without too much problem. I got this because my mums dog had an operation, my poor value rating is based solely on the fact that I have tried it with her dog, a boxer/lab cross and my own JRT, both have flatly refused to use it, even when tempted with treats! Storage wise it will take up a foot-well sized space in your car when folded.

  • Disappointed

The ramp is easy to use and compact. However, my dog weighs 26 kg and the ramp sags under his weight. Also, the plastic surface is very slippery and therefore not suitable as my dogs slips and slides. If I had kept the packaging I would have returned it.

  • too narrow and too light

my dog is absolutely terrified of this ramp as it is so flimsy. We have tried every method to get her up it but to no avail as it wobbles so much is too narrow for her and makes so much noise with her claws. I have made and cut out a fitted carpet for it so she doesn,t slip and slide so much and can just about get her to go up it.

  • useful and functional

It's not a particularly high-quality product, but it is functional, has proved useful on occasions to help my dog into the car or up onto his grooming table, and it is compact and lightweight for me to carry around or leave in the boot of my car. My dog is a 14kg cockerpoo and I have back trouble, so lifting him can be tricky at times. Initially he was reluctant to use this ramp, but I think this was more to do with unfamiliarity. With a bit of bribery and treats he soon learned to run up and down it fairly easily. The surface is reasonably anti-slip, though his paws/claws do slip on it a little more than I'd like. That said, now he's used to it, he doesn't seem to mind. (I just need to teach him that he might not get a treat every single time he goes up or down it for ever more...)

  • Good but bendy

This is the second dog ramp I've bought and find this one to be much more bendy when the dogs go up and down. Fine for my two which fly up and down it. Although I found with a less confident heavier dog (but still under the advised max weight) it did not feel quite so sturdy. Initially the folds/hinges were quite stiff but they have quickly loosened up. Ideal for small and medium dogs. My shepherd is 28kg and light footed so ideal for her but wouldn't use it with anything heavier.

  • Better for smaller dogs.

Quick delivery! nicely boxed. But made of plastic and quite flimsy in the middle where all the pressure of the weight goes, it is also quite slippy for a dog to walk up. My parents dog doesn't reach the maximum weight it can hold. But as soon as he stood on it after slipping and sliding the middle just bent, it didn't break but you could tell the dog wasn't to sure of it. Maybe this will be better used for a small dog like jack Russell

  • Lightweight and easy to use

This is sooo much better than my old wooden ramp that weighed a ton and folds down small as well. My only concern is that is does flex a bit when the dog is using it and mine is 30kg so under the limit.

  • Brilliant (British) design.

Only 4stars due to the fact that inspite of a claimed max weight of 40Kg it flexes so much under the weight of my 25Kg Lurcher that he is too scared to use it. So I would recommend for either small dogs or bigger non scaredy~dogs

  • Not very robust, bounces when the dog tries to walk on it.

Made of thin plastic, so lightweight that it bends and bounces when my medium sized dog tries to walk down it, it spooked him and he will not go anywhere near it now. We are gong to have to try and adapt it with something solid under neath to strengthen it. Shame really as it's a good idea for elderly arthritic dogs like mine.
