This was easy to install once I had the case open (I found instructions on a youtube channel). It is held in by one screw and a little connector . On plugging it all in, there was 40% charge remaining which I believe is the advised charge for batts sent through the post. I have had it operating every day and it holds its charge as a new battery would so I am pleased that I decided to brave replacing it myself and this battery was good value.

It is an original Sony battery, but there is almost no capacity left. Therefore useless and even for a cheap price no good value. Better buy a new battery.

This battery does exactly what I hoped it would. OEM replacement identical to the one currently in my Z1 Compact & saved me having to buy a whole new phone! Removing the original battery is a bit of a pain & you think you're going to break the phone to get it out, but once you've got the flat head screwdriver in the right place with enough force you can remove it. The new battery then takes seconds to install, one screw & one component connector later & that's it (make sure the circuit terminal tab at the top is touching the terminal on the phone or it won't work) which is probably why previous reviews are so negative (installation/user error).

As described. Came with 85% charge. After a few charging cycles it has reached the original equipment performance level. Recommended. Cheaper than a new phone!

Get a cheap phone toolkit off Ebay and a new sticky gasket for the back cover, really easy to change, phone can now go two days of use before i need to charge it
