Bought somewhat experimentally for function unrelated to bicycle valves. Last time I used this stuff was over 60 years ago - I changed to Schrader type valves early on. This is one of those old products that most people will never have heard of, yet alone seen or handled, and difficult to find these days! I must be honest and say that I didn't buy it to fit an old bike but to stop the irritating rattle of the interior door lock buttons on my little Suzuki jeep - which it did instantly! Being "real" rubber I have absolutely no doubt it would work equally well for its intended purpose of keeping air in an old fashioned cycle inner tube - why wouldn't it?
