Really Good and Smoking!
I've been looking for a "smoke flavour" for some time; I get a "Crucials" barbeque sauce which is really good, but it has vinegar in it, so I have to add a dab of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to my sauces to take the sharpness off. No More! Now I've got this great tasting smoke powder/spice I don't need to use the barbeque sauce. I can now add this to my homebrew pasta sauce with alacrity, meaning my spagbols come out great, and my enchiladas are superb. I've even made a barbeque sauce to coat chicken with. I love the smokey flavour in some meat products and I would give this powder a try. I only need to use a small amount of powder compared to the smokey flavoured liquid. The flavour of this powder is great, very smokey and extremely tasty! Got this on the off-chance, not sure of how good it could be. Holy cow this stuff is fantastic, a little goes a long way, put a bit in cheap tomato sauce, shake it, smoke barbecue sauce, brine ribs with some in the water, perfect smoked flavour, not overpowering, will not smother taste of meat,just adds the right smoked taste, this stuff will turn you into a barbecue God! Excellent value compared to liquid smoke
I have been using the Liquid smoke type products for several years in sauces / marinades and while good i always seems to use alot for the taste my family liked. I saw this product and thought i would give it a try and i must say it worked and worked well. The amount i used was much less than the liquid products and the flavour was good with no bitter after taste that i have found with several liquid type products.
