Technicqll High Temperature Silicate
I have used this material as a heat resisting bonding for the chimney of a coffee bean roaster. The adhesion is not great, but with care can be applied in this manner and works very well. The finishing is by sanding to give a smooth appearance. The next project is to use the material in the correct manner, when jointing car exhaust pipes, and is excellent in this situation.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good for certain applications.
This jointing compound probably works well as a high temperature caulking/sealing agent on stoves and heaters. I purchased a tube for bonding and sealing use on a vehicle exhaust system, but its adhesive qualities on a clean metal-to-metal joint are rather limited. But it is easier to apply than traditional UK products like 'Gun-Gum' and doesn't appear to be as flake-prone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Didn't work on an electric fry pan
I think this product probably works just fine on silencers but doesn't stick to smooth surfaces. I tried to use it to stick the base onto the underneath of a non-stick electric fry pan but as soon as it heated up, the adhesive parted company with the pan.
