Still worth the upgrade on the X99 if the price is reasonable
Although this CPU is now "old school" and AMD have 16 cores available on the mainstream channel, I was still pleased with this upgrade on the venerable X99 chipset. It runs at 23 degrees idle and at a non-aggressive overclock of 4 GHz on all cores (4.2Ghz for one core on the turboboost 3.0 setting) I have not seen it go over 123 Watts at 53 degrees using a Nocutua D15S (fan at 900rpm).Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
