Works on larger pumps small tank pumps not so good
This air diffuser works on flow rate found with smaller water filter pumps its not so good i installed a slightly larger pump and it works great thank goodness larger pumps fit into smaller jewel filter systems. Waste of money
Came in an open ed package, as far as I could see was complete but just didn't work all it did was divert flow and produced zero air bubbles. Simple and Quiet
I was looking for a replaceent water pump when I came across this simple device which aerates the water. On double checking I found faylt with pump and fixed it but decided to try the aerator. It is a simple venturi which draws air into the water stream from the ump. It has proved highly effective and has the advantage that there is no air pump and hence no noise plus the lack of pipe exterior to the tank is a bonus. There is a simple regulator to adjust the air flow and I have turned this down to minimise noise from the larger air bubbles. Therefore I have a constant stream of fine bubbles. With no moving parts this device should have a long life. Not cheap but effective.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Source of air - perfect!
Much more efficient and effective than an external pump and airstone, this unit delivers an easily adjustable stream of air from the filter nozzle into the tank. Easily fitted to the exit pipe from the filter unit itself, this nozzle can also be adjusted to achieve the best angle of output. The plastic pipe supplied with the nozzle set, however, is too short to be really any use but a longer length of the standard air hose made an excellent substitute for the shorter length supplied. A small filter/control head which remains above the water surface gives a degree of control over the ferocity or otherwise of the bubble stream. Fantastic - Has replaced my air pump!
It's a bit loose to fit onto the existing pump and it's a bit fiddly to attach, but once you get it on, it's Fantastic! Ive been able to unplug my air pump as this provides ample oxygen on its own for my 200L tank. There's loads of micro bubbles and the fish love it! I had to fit it onto my existing pump nozzle as an extension rather than as a replacement. Definitely recommend this. It could do with the hose being slightly longer but its manageable.
