Neilsen 15mm & 22mm pipe cleaner/prepper
Good solid item Very reasonable price Fast delivery to Cleans pipes for soldering in a third of the time than the traditional way, ie-wire wool ect, without the mess to as me personally hate the feel of wire wool (weirdly)😂 The brushes are ok but not really reamers to be honest,but still ok to get rid of any sharp bits of metal. And they are sharp and stab you nice if your not paying attention when grabbing out your toolbox,but I’ve made covers with cardboard and masking tape, but I can’t understand why they don’t come with covers anyway,but again for the price I can’t moan and easy to make a cover,and trust me you will after getting stabbed a few times,ha But overall an excellent purchase at an excellent price and fast delivery Definitely a game changer for plumbing or gas fitting ect as cuts prepping time down loads. 10/10 definitely from me anywayVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good for light use
OK for occasional work - wire brushes deform quickly and cleaning teeth become flattened quickly meaning the fit to 15mm copper is loose and so doesn't clean very well - it's still a handy tool to have and for a small price.I would still purchase another.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great value essential tool when soldering copper pipes and fittings.
Nifty little tool essential when doing a lot of soldered joints. Beats all the other methods for effectiveness and it's also a very handy size. Whist its very good value for money I would pay a bit extra to have some protective caps just so it's safer in the toolbox. Luckily I found some in my workshop and since the brushes are pretty fierce its not a bad idea to put a protective glove on them. Not perfect, but very useful
First of all, "Deburring"? This is an assembly of wire brushes - you'll need a file or deburring tool to do deburring. For cleaning the ends of copper pipes and the insides of the fittings before fluxing and soldering 15 and 22mm pipes this is a boon. I used to wrestle wire wool which is difficult to work inside a 15mm fitting and leaves fine iron particles around (and sore fingers). The female 15mm end needs to be worked in both directions as it seems a bit 'loose' sometimes - the wires seem to either have or develop a 'pile' direction. The 15mm male brush has also deformed a bit - it seems a little large - but still does the job adequately. The only downside I've found is that because of it's length you can't usually use it for pipe ends already in situ near a surface; at least you can't spin it round the pipe which is the quickest/easiest way. Back to wire wool or emery. I'm only using it for domestic projects; for trade use it might not last more than a week, but at £3 each buying a box of them and treating them as disposable wouldn't be unreasonable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Beware these are heavy duty steel burnishing brushes - would advise gloves while using this item. The two in one tool saves looking for sandpaper and a wire brush. Does the job!
Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Very good value. The brushes within the plastic housing (for cleaning outside of pipes) are very good indeed. The brushes at each end of the plastic housing (for cleaning the inside of pipes) have a limited life. After some use the bristles "close in" on themselves, so cleaning is less effective. I thought I’d give it a try for the money, couldn’t go wrong really. Didn’t expect much at all. In fact I was laughing about it as I’d spent vastly more on much more elaborate gizmo’s to do the same job, which had all resulted in me going back to the tried and tested elbow grease method.
