This small harmonica is in one word useless as a harmonica . even although it looks well made its very hard and almost impossible to play . My advice is to spend a small bit more and buy the Little Lady harmonica and you will get the real deal .

Reading the reviews here, it seems some people actually think this is a proper harp and are giving it bad reviews because it 'plays badly'. Were they expecting to be able to play some Stevie Wonder on it? It's not a proper harmonica. It's a novelty (like it says in the item description AND the title. I bought this knowing full what to expect. You can get a little tune out of it but the point is it is not meant to replace a proper harmonica. It's a novelty and a good addition to a chain or necklace (hence the loop to add it). And as a novelty, it does it's job brilliantly. Ideal gift for someone who does play a proper harp and it'll certainly get a few laughs and jokes. Give it the credit it deserves. It doesn't play well, but it's not supposed to be a precision musical instrument. You can still enjoy it without expecting it to be able to play a rendition of Bob Dylan.Read full review

It is NOT made in Germany, it says “made in China” on it. I would recommend using a bit more money and buy a Hohner little lady instead. This is a toy.

OK as a novelty and good value, but not like the earlier Hohner models of the 1950's that were truly playable.

This mini harmonica is a fun novelty harmonica, its not for serious playing the eight notes are far to limiting, but as I said it is just a fun item.
