Excellent for updating Triang and Hornby Rolling Stock
I have been buying and restoring old Triang and Hornby rolling stock, wagons and coaches. These wheels are easy to use to replace the old plastic wheels and make such a difference to the way the wagons and coaches run. There are several videos on uTube that show you how its done. I rated them as good because I have had one where the wheel moved on the axel when I was fitting it to the wagon which meant the wheels didn't fit on the track. So care is needed in fitting them.

Great improvement.
These are expensive for what get but they have transformed the running of my old Triang Hornby coaches. They run smoother and are free running when spun in there bogies. They also add a little weight. A quick and simple replacement.

Hornby R8096 metal wheels
If fitting these wheels to Triang products, beware the axles do not fit. You will have to carefully remove the Hornby wheels from the Hornby axles and install them onto the old triang axles. ( a bit fiddley). Measure with calipers the distance between the backs of wheels on each axle it should be 14 mm plus or minus 0.3 mm. Don't forget to lubricate the axle and it should run very well on series 6 track. ( I used the wheels to replace old plastic tender wheels on Triang Princess class locomotives. Very pleased with the end results !)
