Had new 6" gutters with 3 x 4" downspouts put on around a deck..finally last night had a good hard rain of 1/2" filled 85% of one barrel!
Very efficient capture from the side of the 3 x 4" downspout on the long side of the J shaped deck roof overhang gutters put up to keep roof runoff away from the deck which has a sunbrella cover on it. Very nice job and it works exactly as advertised. I have two 55 gallon former food service barrels and a linking kit as well. The spigots do not leak and the only advice is that you need to select the hole saw diameter based on the rubber insert not the directions. Meausure twice, cut once. The winter time pieces are also great..either unscrew the tap and put the plug in or turn the existing capture piece upside down. It's all good and collected a ton of water in just one hard rain of 1/2" in about an hour and a half.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

perfect compliment for rain barrels
I just had new gutters and downspouts put on the house. This was long overdue. The front gutters were 90 years old and leaked like crazy. The back gutter didn't have downspouts. diy to pass your time by
i did this as a diy project seeing as the times we're living in limited me from doing too much social activities. the rubber parts were a little hard, which i'm hoping doesnt come back to haunt me later on, but they still managed to fit in properly to the holes after being drilled in (grateful for the exact hole cutting bits by the way). over time, i can see this wearing down like all parts that face constant usage, outside elements, water flow. but i do like what i have for now.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works, but cheap made stuff for a big price.
Works well. Easy install. Hose and faucet very cheap plastic. Faucet had to be replaced. Now, with this kit, I was able to install with a used plastic 55 gallon barrel within one hour.
