Foams and froths quickly and easily
I was unsure if this frother would be an improvement on my cheap Ikea one - I am pleasantly surprised! There were no instructions inside the box, however there were a few notes on the box, and the setup appeared to be pretty easy anyway. The top part unscrews, and a plastic batery holder pops out - literally POPS out. It holds 4X AA batteries, which seemed a lot but I use them all the time so I had them in the house. The lid srews back on, then you simply hold the frother into the liquid and push down on the button. It's really powerful, it mixed my iced coffee easily and quickly, blending it perfectly and creating a thick foam on top, better than my Ikea frother. It blended safely in glass too, I let it touch the sides to mix the powder which was stuck there, and it removed it without a problem and didn't damage the glass. The button was easy to press, and needs constant pressure but one handed use was simple and easy. The one downside is the length of the metal blender - I would have liked a longer blending "stick". Cleanup just required holding in water and activating. I'm thrilled with this item, it's standing on my worktop already, safe in its holder. Smart.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good, not perfect
This is a more powerful frother than the cheap IKEA ones. It works well and is easy to clean. The only design flaw is that the cap is held on with a bayonet fitting that is very easy to turn by accident. You have to press on the cap to operate the button, so every now and then the cap comes off and the batteries fly out.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Can't live without it
In the warm weather it has been great for Frappes, gives much more froth than my Hostess frother, with less washing up. Takes four AA batteries and I would suggest high powered ones, as the first batteries I used were not alkaline and after about three weeks of (constant!) use, they slowed down a little and wouldn't froth. You have to press fairly hard and constantly for it to work, this may be a problem for weak hands. The stand is great, it stands discretely on the worktop and is always to hand.
