I have hearing aids, but they give no response below 120Hz, most of the bass guitar notes are below. With hearing aids you hear no bass guitar. Hearing aids really don't work very well for music, whatever you get. I took this, tried it out, it has good quality sound using a pair of Beltron BS-10 earbuds. But it is a bit bulky for a jacket pocket. So I replaced the big potentiometer (volume control) with a low profile Alps 402147 Log dual pot, I replaced the battery with a Li-Po 503048 800mAH lion battery (with a little TP4056 mini-usb charger £1.50) and a 2.5mm socket to plug the charger in. I took away one of the mics and comoned the signal to to both amp channel inputs, with a 3.5 socket so I could plug in a high quality JK MIC-J 044 mic which gives really good sound. I now have a rechargeable system, with very high quality sound, doesn't give feedback, with a lapel mic, the amp slips in my jacket pocket. It works for dancing (ballroom, tango, where you need to hear the bass rhythm), which is what I wanted. This was not a very skilled job. The basic amp is easy to build with a small soldering iron. The additions needed a bit more skill, but nothing special. The bound up in gaffer tape to hold it all together.Read full review

It works well. The sound quality is very good. It seems a shame that the connections would require a custom box, rather than enabling the volume control, socket and switch to be mounted on a case wall. For those of use who are hard of hearing, this machine is a bit of a God-send.
