    Good Value, wish blemishes were better communicated/documented

    Not a bad knife for the price. This will be my 6th Shun Premier as I slowly build out my collection. Great knives but this used one had scratches right on the shaft where I use my pinch grip which just distracts a bit from my process. The whole point of knives like this are to blend in seamless. An unfortunate wear and tear along with a small chip in the edge. Had these been documented, I'd have no gripe--but I also probably wouldnt have purchased. I also totally recognize, that this is the roll of the dice you play with used gear. Just bummed this knife play out this way as it's my go to knife style. Oh well, now all I need is the Shun Premier Nakiri and I'll finish out my set. Happy hunting!

    Used quality kitchen knife...

    The Shun knife must have been dropped on the ground as the tip is bend... and it has some marks on the knifes edge, am thinking, if I just should have bought a brand new Shun knife.

    Great knife, but go with the classic

    Holy sharp batman. Great knife. Save yourself some money and get the Shun Classic. Same knife without the bling. That bling is supposed to keep food from sticking. It does a bit, but no better than the classic. Only reason to go to the Premier is to show off.

    The Santoku knife was beyond my expectations in a chopping knife. I can easily mince garlic and other herbs so easily with this knife. Best knife in my kitchen.
