Bought this with the transformer, so drill can be used with variable speed, although it can be used direct from a battery, but without the useful variable speed feature . Drill is lightweight and can be used with comfortable pen holder type of grip. Fantastic tool
The Proxxon range of tools is brilliant. The fact that you have one transformer and plug each hand tool as needed saves so much space and there is no need for multiple sockets for individual power tools. The drill grinder is excellent with 6 collets to allow even the smallest drills to be used. it is quite quiet when in use and so far has not become hot even when I have used it for some time. Its lightness is remarkable as is its comfortable grip. The speed control is so easy to use and placed exactly in the right place for the speed to be altered while in use.
