Longtime user of standard formula likes multicat formula
I've only used the multicat formula for a short time, but it does seem to work a bit better than the original formula. I just purchased more of it and will post another review after I go through this batch. The pheromone diffusers work best in concert with additional playtime, additional vertical space, a clean litterbox, and addressing any other underlying causes of stress in the household, the first of which should be a trip to the vet to make sure that a medical issue is not the root cause of any behavior problems. Also, be sure to replace the diffuser every 5-6 months; they do wear out, and will continue to get warm after this amount of time but may not disperse the pheromones as they should. The manufacturer recommends six-month replacement but I start swapping out the diffusers at about 5 months to be on the safe side. Each diffuser covers about 300 s.f. so I have several in my home. I have used the standard formula for years with great success, and I have high hopes that the multicat formula will work even better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works fairly well, but doesn't last long enough (not much 'bang for the buck')
We have a beautiful two-year old cat who is extremely passive aggressive toward other cats and becomes openly aggressive when challenged. He makes life miserable for our six-year old Russian Blue cat. Both are neutered males and both are indoor/outdoor cats. We used two Feliway Multicat Comfort Zone diffusers. One upstairs and one down. They calmed him somewhat and we had three weeks of peace, but the moment the diffuser ran out he was worse than ever. To be honest, I'm not sure it's worth $50 every three weeks for a product that you must continue to use just to maintain a calm household. As a result, I've had to put an ad in local papers to find another home for my younger cat. He's absolutely wonderful as an ONLY cat, but with others... it's a nightmare. Didn't last 30 days
The instructions say it takes a while for it to take effect. It didn't last long enough to know if it was working or not. The bottle of liquid is supposed to last 30 days. It's been only a little over 2 weeks and it's empty. I also purchased the single cat prior to getting the multi cat version and its lastest about 2 weeks also. No Affect
Unfortunately, the Comfort Zone Diffuser made no difference in my cat's level of anxiety or stress. She has continued to groom incessantly and scratch herself. I made sure the unit was placed in the room where she spends most of her time. The surprising result was that she immediately stopped spending time in that room. I then switched the diffuser to the room where she was now spending her time and she then avoided that room too. The second room I had moved the diffuser to was one where I also spent a lot of time. I developed severe dizziness and nausea which only stopped once I moved the diffuser to a different room further away from me. No, I cannot recommend this product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !
My elder Male cat passed away and that night my other cats were fighting throughout the night and day. Nothing I could think of was working. I seen this online and figured even if it was snake oil it was worth a try. When I received the kit I plugged it in that night in the main room as close as I could get to a draft thinking that would spread the scent. After about 20 minutes it gave off a warm milk scent that went away and was not really strong. Within 2 hours I had noticed no cat fights or hissing/moaning. A week fast forward: My multicat house is back to normal and none of the cats are fighting. Even the ones that are normally confrontational look at each other and go on their merry ways. It really is amazing shy of some kind of Voodoo magic . I absolutely would not think twice about this product. It really does work . I am sure there are certain conditions like open windows etc that may not let the scent build up but I am a believer ! Now, if you have multiple cats, the first can will be gone fast. it may be 2-3 cans in before they dont want to test it anymore. I tested this with their favorite ball, 6 cats will no even dare step into the spray area with their toy even a LASER! Really true. So yes, if you have alot of cats, do not expect one or even 2 cans to fix your spot. Noticed no difference in my cat's bad behavior...

THEY'RE HELPING!!!
I bought two Feliway Multi Cat Diffusers at a good price. They're helping my 20-year-old female who was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and my rambunctious year-old male to manage life in the same apartment. Cabin fever!
This January my husband and I and 6 cats were in the house for a month with snow piled up outside. I ordered this hoping it would help the cats' agitation and it worked!! We put one in the living room and one in the bedroom. I am going to buy another for the other bedroom! There isn't any aroma coming from the diffuser that we could tell. New Cat
About two years ago we brought "Bear" into our home with an older cat. To help the transition I bought this product. The old boy passed away and we're now introducing a new cat into the house. Bear isn't happy at all so I got a refill and two more diffusers for other rooms. The refills last about a month. When Bear was the new kid on the block I sometimes found him under the diffuser sniffing like mad. I've not seen that out of him this time but he's very comfortable now with his boss of the house status. Having seen his initial reaction I'd rather have them in place than be without them.
