  • Quality snips

These really are good, solid snips. Cut brilliantly and feel good in the hand. I had always previously used smaller snips for dead heading and decent Felco secateurs for pruning but these can do both excellently. If I am just wandering round the garden seeing what needs doing then I take these.

  • Very good, well made pair of trimming shears.

Not sure where these are made but have seen the same badged by a very long standing tool manufacturer for considerable more money. They are very well built with a very good locking system that flips well out the way once released. Good solid screws that could be tightened should anything work loose. Much better than cheaper rivets. Don't know about the longevity of the blades but certainly appear to be a respectable grade steel. Don't know if they will rust but mine are used for predominately house plants so won't get exposed to moisture for long periods. Very comfortable in hand and fit me well with a fairly large hand. Don't think these will be a problems should you have smaller hands. Just make sure you have a pair of bypass secateurs for the heavier work at hand as these are for smaller trimming.

  • Good quality snippers

I use these for all my pruning. They’re durable, and, because of the design, they don’t keep pinching your hands, unlike some other designs. So easy to use. No idea why people use those secateurs with the curved blade. These are so much better! Love them.

  • The only Snips for me

I have used these pruners for years and find no others come up to their standard. In fact i have 3 pairs situated around the garden and greenhouse for easy access. They remain as sharp as the day i bought them. Some are quite old too and have seen a great deal of work as i have a very large garden. Thank you once again Darlac.

  • If you have one pair of secateurs these are the ones.

These are amazing secateurs, they cut through really thick stalks and are so sharp and light to use, I am a keen gardener and I buy these in bulk as I am always loosing them. The pointy bit on the end is great for delicate jobs too.

  • Love these snips!

Bought these in addition to a new pair of secateurs on the basis that these would be more useful for deadheading bedding plants in pots and baskets. They are very well made, sharp, easy to use and lightweight in comparison to secateurs. The locking clasp is much easier to use than those on secateurs and works very well. How I wish I had bought these years ago, I really think I shall use these more than my new secatuers as they are great for trimming finer plants, deadheading bedding plants, roses etc. If you are thinking of buying these, go on, treat yourself as I did, you will be surprised how much you will use these.

  • Well made, sharp edges and versatile

All the Darlac products are excellent quality; very well made with edges that stay sharp, and if parts wear out there are spares available. Although intended for gardening I've found that these snips are brilliant for craft use; much better than scissors for cutting paper, cardboard, plastic card, thin plywood and even thin sheet metal.

  • Fantastic!

I’ve just spent the last hour using these fab snips, dead heading roses & much smaller, more delicate plants. They are lovely & light to use, razor sharp and the length of the blades enabled me to get in and out of the roses unscathed. I don’t know how I’ve managed with out them. I would highly recommend.

  • Best ever

Bought for a friend's 80th birthday as he also has an allotment. I have had a pair of these for qbout 2 yrs and they are the best I have had for the smaller pruning jobs, such as dead heading, pruning clematis and roses and shrublets. I rate Darlac products highly as I have had several in the past and they would always be my first choice. This was the best price I found and good delivery. I was very happy.

  • Easy, lightweight and sharp.

Great, really sharp, light, excellent. Probably worth having these as a second pair for fine trimming rather than as the pair you use for attacking thick branches.
