After two days of use, I'm satisfied with the interface. It is definitely larger in size comparing to the ad photos. I wasn't to fond of the device not having a mic preamp (XLR inputs for microphone recordings). This means I'm forced to get a "female to TRS" cable to record or do any overdubbing to my DAW software, since I don't have another interface. The Control 2 interface should be considered for mixing and mastering purposes for engineers and producers, not so much tracking (recording). Having the multiple outs to monitors is great for second or third references through small monitors to PA systems. I'm most likely going to get the Behringer U-PHORIA or another mic preamp to connect to the interface. Most of all, I do recommend this audio interface.

I have a pretty modest home studio setup centered around my MacBook Pro, Samson Resolv monitors and a Behringer x1204USB mixer. Sometimes I rig up a really small subwoofer using various adapters, and when I'm feeling adventurous, pull in my 200 watt Simmons full range amplifier. Managing the inputs and outputs was always a pain, especially when recording. If I wanted to record using microphones, and monitor with headphones, I could not "mute" my monitors without affecting what went into the headphones, unless I manually turned down the volume or turned off the monitors. I tried a bunch of cheaper solutions, poured through all my manuals, posted questions on forums, talked to tech support, and just could not resolve this issue... until biting the bullet and adding the Behringer Control2USB. It has taken care of all the issues above with simple button presses and excellent cable management. It did not add any additional noise into my setup, unlike a headphone amp I tried as a cheap alternative solution. For my purposes, I wish it was a little smaller and I also wish the trim knobs to control the monitor volumes were top mounted. Compare the features and price to Mackie and others, and this works out great for a budget studio like mine.Read full review

The Xenyx Control 2 is off the chart when it comes to value. It's built like a tank and the Big control knob is sealed. With more than enough routing functions, the sources and desinations will almost certainly exceed your need. The mono button gets the award for the most valuable utility in audio production. If you have a phase problem in your mix, the mono button will reveal it. Even if you have never addressed a phase issue, I promise, the control 2 will compel you to fix it. All & all, this is an extremely useful tool. from the routable talk back to the dim button, this unit makes recording a breeze.

I am mostly satisfied with the Behringer Xenyx studio monitor. The 3 stereo outputs for monitors is great. There are definitely enough inputs and the headphone is good. The options are nice and the meters are great. One problem is the slight but somewhat noticeable high pitch sound that can be heard when everything in my controlroom is silenced. Most people may not even notice it. But I can. It seems like they may have gone cheap on the power supply or something. I have read a few reviews that mentioned it. I wish they would fix it. Otherwise this would be 5 stars and an amazing piece of audio equipment.

I am pleased with the control features and SOUND quality of Behringer CONTROL2USB through my head phones. I still have to purchase a set of studio monitors but I'm sure as long as I choose the right set, I will be happy with those results.
