Didn't know how much I needed it until I used it
I used this in conjunction with some homemade "fork" type supports that I've used for years with various guns. The AR is a little more challenging. The Wheeler device not only eliminates the need for a cleaning link but has a side benefit. If your bench is level it mounts an AR straight up and makes scope alignment easier. Tilted forward it works great when broken open for cleaning as previously mentioned. The rubber frame saver is a great extra (if you remember to use it) to prevent battering the frame if you goof and release the hammer when the AR is broken open.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I had the Tipton Gun Vice already and when i saw this I was impressed enough to order one. As advertised, it attaches right on to my Tipton Gun Vice and is a nice addition. Used cleaning My AR-15
I used a Tipton gun vice cleaning my AR-15 and it was hard to get the angle I needed to clean the barrel before. Now with the vise block installed on it I have been able to clean my AR with no problems.
