Great litter box terrible liners
I have used top entry litter box before but clevercat is better due to it's height which helps keep the litter contained. It is rugged plastic without fancy latches that never work. So far kitty has not knocked the lid off. Additionally I like that the base is a perfect rectangle without contours. This helps a lot in fitting liners and keeping them in place. The one complaint is the Clevercat liners which are the only ones I could find to fit this box. They should be at least 2 mil thick and 2" inches higher to enable stretching the corners over the box. a higher liner would also negate the need for drawstrings since the liner could be knotted and discarded. I have found that reinforcing the bottom of the liner with wall liner that I cut to match the box bottom keeps kitty's claws from tearing the liner. After laying the cut wall liner on the plastic liner in the box, I seal all cornesr with duct tape to help kitty from catching a corner. 3rd Clever Cat litter box I've purchased for my multiple cat household. Good design: depth & weight of box prevent litter from being scattered outside box. Textured top catches any litter sticking to paws as cats exit box. Excellent Litter Box for the right kitty
It is well-made and if your kitty will use it ..it does help with litter tracking. I have used MANY boxes over the 20 yrs with kitties and I am very happy for this innovation. The top lid is a little tight opening it to clean it but worth it if you dont have to do this more than twice a day. If you have a second box for kitties that wont use it or if you are unable to be on top of the cleaning just in case they dont use the side away from the top-entry whole as they need this area to land and jump back out. I love that it takes up little room and there's not much litter tracking.
I initially got this litter box because I wanted one that my dogs couldn't get into. At first I was worried that that would be an issue with this box (being that the hole on top seems so large), but then I read reviews from many dog owners saying this was not a problem for them. Sure enough, my dogs don't and can't get in it! Turns out that although they could easily stick their heads inside the hole, the box is too high and the litter sits too low for them to have access to any of my cats' "goodies", even for my 80lb medium/large dog. I was also pleasantly surprised at the size of the box. It's a lot more compact than all the litter boxes I've used, but my cats have no problem doing their business comfortably in it. So due to its size, and the fact that there's no need for a litter mat (very little litter tracking), it takes up minimal room. The ONLY issue I have with Clevercat litterbox is its price. I don't see why such a simple design, made of Tupperware plastic has to cost so much. But still, I recommend it due to its practicality and other reasons mentioned.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wonderful Litter Boxes - I Have Two
With six cats, some of which make a mess on the floors AND walls, I don't know why I never tried a top-entry litter box before? These litter boxes have made a world of difference in keeping my house clean. A couple of my cats don't use them (one is 17-years-old) but the rest do and they seem to appreciate the privacy even though their heads are sticking out.
