Sucks and spits
Pump worked well on getting out water from the bilge in my boat. Helps if it is below the level of the water you are extracting and if you prime the pipe with water first.

Don't bother
This failed after about 4 minutes running with water pouring out of the drive shaft. I was sent a replacement which I've not tried yet. I supppose I could have just been unlucky....
