Don't waste your money
Poor fit on all 6 of my guitars, too wide string spacing cause strings to overhang the edge of the neck. Tried to file down flat and re-file string slots in a different position but material ("Dinky Car" metal) was such poor quality and full of holes like an Aero chocolate bar. Surprisingly good little gadget
There are some mixed reviews for this gadget. However, I have found it to be a great help for playing slide. A lot of comments on it being much wider than the guitar’s neck and, yes, it is a bit wider. At the headstock the strings are about the same width as the neck. I haven’t found this to be a problem. It is, after all, sold as a lap steel converter. It works well for slide guitar for me. It raises the strings a lot so don’t expect to fret chords easily, but this stops the slide clashing with the frets. The metal does seem to make the folk size guitar I’m using pretty loud, but I do like the tone. If you just want to use a slide I highly recommend it. Tune to G and away you go!

Great for converting your guitar into a slide type with all the new sounds you can get from it without the cost of buying another guitar. If you've got an electric acoustic then this will widen the range of sounds you can get when the guitar is played through an amplifier, especially if it has computerised 'effects' built in, which a lot do have these days. Highly recommended for extending the range of your guitar. Easily converts back to normal playing mode. Convert an acoustic guitar to dobro.
It did not fit an ordinary guitar. It was to long, and string grooves were to far apart. Your did not specify, it would only fit a classic guitar with a wider neck. I had to cut it to size and recut the grooves. Not happy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Could do with a polish
Works fine, but does feel as though it will mark the finish on some guitars and truss rod covers and screws provide difficulties, though I do realise that the design of this device dates from the twenties or thirties when guitars were designed differently. I've used the "bent metal" type since I bought a National in the seventies and there was one in the case - I still use the same one - and I know that the Grover does handle the job rather better, but I wish that they could have made it look nicer with a couple of minutes on the buffing wheel.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
