It cleaned my fifty year old princess Lizzy,s wheels up like new and made lubricating very easy, the only thing I would like to see is clips on the end of the wire to attach to a live rail.

The Servicing kit is a bit disappointing. The foam plastic is ok and I recommend it, but the electrical pens that clean the wheels is no good for DCC control. The electrical pens were good for dc control and the loco wheels are rotating in the foam, meaning the wheel cleaning is easy. In the DCC control (DCC control is the most modern control for model railways) you can't get it to rotate (unless there is a way you can do it, but there is no instructions for DCC) The power lub is ok. The price is a bit high (very high) for a kit.

The Peco servicing kit is a simple effective way of keeping your locomotive wheels clean and is flexible to deal with any scale from N to OO. The use of the electrically charged scrapper and brush takes a little practice to get the hand of but once mastered is pretty routine. The addition of the lubricant is handy but use sparingly. I wouldn't say the product was particularly good value for money but it does make maintenance of the locomotive more straightforward. One little word of warning though, do not use the scrapper or brush on wheels fitted with rubber tyres. If you do the tyres will be damaged and that is not good !.
