Cheap gadget, but essential to easily creating buttons. Nicely made, as you would expect from Prym, should last for ages so lots of buttons to make. Well worth the little extra spent. Very easy to use. I used off cuts from my curtains to cover buttons for the chair cushions.

This little gadget is well made but not easy to use. I have spent hours trying it out, watching the video on YouTube and experimenting with different fabrics. Eventually I covered two buttons, not with the fabric I wanted to use, but with very lightweight cotton. And I had to resort to stitching a running thread round the circumference to do that.

I was using this to cover some buttons for furniture so the fabric was a little thick. It took a little practise but once mastered gave a good result. I think it would work best with cotton fabrics

This does a very good job with thin to medium weight materials. I tried to use it with velvet and it did not work - material too bulky. For shirts, blouses, thin wool dresses etc it is fine - simple and easy.

I’ve not done them yet but had a go with some scarp material worked fine
