1 week with the edge filter
After reading some of the reviews I was a bit sceptical about buying this . After about 10 days with this filter I stalled I can say it’s fantastic and does what it must. A few tips that will help you get most of this filter . Since the heater has an auto cut off feature when the temperature is reached please make sure you use it with the integrated filter on, the flow of water circulates the heat and prevents the heater to shut off early by heating the water locally . The location of the tank is important as well . The ambient room temperature in my house in Glasgow is about 18-19 and the heater has no problem keeping the tank around 25 degrees . Mine is installed right below the filter flow exit and works great that way. The inherent nature of water is to cool down slowly and heat up slowly however , since the tank is so small it is going to fluctuate a bit faster than one of these giant aquarium tanks that you may have had . That’s the physics. If the heater is not maintaining the temperature in the tank that means the tank is exposed to temperature changes like drafts , cool spots etc . Finally, the heater looks great and integrates with the general decor. This was most important to me .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Big fan of the Fluvial gear but, installed this yesterday, into a 19litre tank (good for 23litres according to specs) and woke up to two dead, previously healthy young sailfin mollies.
