Substantial chain but has some faults
This is a much stronger chain than the standard slide in type but has a couple of design faults if fitting to a uPVC door The fixings provided are only suitable for screwing into brick or wood, if fixing to a uPVC door frame you will need to provide your own self tapping screws The fixing comes in two parts, one is screwed to the wall/door frame the other slides over it , covering the screws, and is then secured by tapping in the small round metal pin which can be seen in the photo. The problem is once the pin is knocked in there is no way to get it out and so no way to ever remove the fixing without causing some major damage to your door frame or door. So make absolutely sure not to knock the pin fully in!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Looks good but has a basic design flaw
The heavy duty steel chain and steel ring that fits over the door handle are fine. In my opinion the attachment that fits to the door jamb or adjacent wall lets this product down. The attachment connects the steel chain to the door jamb or the adjacent wall and consists of two separate parts. The first part is made of die cast metal, it is NOT steel (as checked by a magnet), and is fixed to the door jamb or wall using 4 off closely placed screws. In a wooden door jamb these closely spaced screws may not be a problem but if this has to be fixed to a brick built wall the hole sizes needed to fit 4 closely spaced wall plugs mean the brick strength locally is compromised. The second part of the attachment is also made of die cast metal and carries the heavy duty chain and steel ring. This part slides over the first part and secured in place using a small pin. In summary I thnk that the die cast metal attachment would not resist a determined attack. This product could be substantially improved by making this attachment out of steel and increasing the hole spacing between the 4 fixing screws.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Robust twinned with Safety
Easy to fit-although instruction leaflet is a tad vague with just pictures to follow!!..Security hoop should have had a protective cover in the middle to save damage to door handle..Also anti chaffing adhesive strip(white/brown) to stop chain rubbing on the door edge,does not stick properly,and peels off-and is made of a stiff plastic to fold properly to door edge profile. Perfect for the job
most cost effective option if you are looking to chain your door. Is cheap yet sturdy. all metal very storng. was easy to install. comes with everything you need even the door protector. i installed it on my UPVC door.
