Very light weight.....maybe too light?
I purchased this to hold a very light smart phone for top down video recording. It works very well once the phone holder was attached to the end of the arm. It allows quick repositioning of the phone. It probably would hold a 1kg microphone but the weak point is where the arm fits into the table top clamp. The whole arm is made from the thinnest steel possible and the pin is just rolled pressed steel. Over time I can see this deforming and/or cracking. I've used a piece of wooden dowel to reinforce this so fingers crossed.

Sorry, cannot recommend,
First of all it is small with short reach. It seems to have a will of its own and is not very malleable. Also: do check your mic will fit the mount mounting bracket. It being a Neewer I had expected much better product.
